We are thrilled to announce the 2015 Dragon FarmSalon series! Each afternoon will be designed around an interesting woman and her work, sometimes with readings and initial thoughts shared beforehand. We will begin with a brief presentation and open the floor into whatever comes next in response. Expect agreements, disagreements, laughter, tears and satire. Opposing viewpoints are welcome and respected. And we will stay on topic or not. Each salon will unveil her own creative genius. The dates and topics for each salon are:
JANUARY 18: US REPRESENTATIVE CHELLIE PINGREE (INVITED)-Chellie will return to the Salon and share with us her thoughts and experiences in Congress.
FEBRUARY 8: BRITTA KONAU-Britta, a noted art curator, will talk about reinventing one’s self after life throws some curve balls.
MARCH 8: SARA TRUNZO-Sara runs Veggies for All, a farm and food program putting veggies on the tables of families and individuals in need.
APRIL 19: JEANNE DOOLEY-Jeanne is ED of Out As I Want to Be! and will share, along with a local teen, thoughts on LGBTQ issues and on loosening the binary gender perspective.
All Salons will begin at 2 PM at the Rockland Public Library Community Room. Warm drinks and snacks will be available. Public invited. There is no admission fee, but donations to Dragon Farm are welcome.
